The landscape of the Southern Georgian Bay shoreline and
Beaver Valley will surprise you at every turn.
Where rolling hills end, craggy cliffs rear up to form the spine of the
Niagara Escarpment. Winding rivers flush with salmon, trout and bass. Quaint villages are
nestled in the Beaver Valley and along quiet country roads the shoreline embraces deep
blue-green waters.
A drive along meandering country roads uncovers beautiful,
pastoral vistas, but to truly appreciate the area, one must stop and stay awhile.
This area offers it all. As spring melts into summer, the forests grow
shady and you can hike or cycling the gentle, crushed stone bed of the Georgian Trail.
Fishing is great year round and derbies abound. The bay is haven to power
boaters, sailors and windsurfers from spring to fall and beaches sprawl along the
shoreline.
